Ollie

Ollie is a 3½-year-old Samoyed with a lot of love to give and a personality that’s pure Sammy through and through.

He’s bright, vocal, and a little excitable — the kind of dog who wants to be part of what’s going on and isn’t shy about letting you know it. He enjoys the company of other dogs and has lived successfully with cats, making him a good candidate for a multi-pet home.

Ollie is being rehomed through no fault of his own. His current owner works long hours, and he’s spending more time alone than he’s comfortable with. Like many intelligent, social breeds, Ollie hasn’t thrived with that schedule. He developed some separation anxiety when he was younger, which showed up as destructive behavior, but with structure and crate training, he has made great progress.

He will do best in a home that understands the Samoyed breed and is prepared to give him the time, structure, and engagement he needs to feel secure. An experienced home will be especially important for helping him continue to build confidence and maintain the progress he’s already made.

Ollie isn’t a “set it and forget it” dog — he’s a dog who will give back what you put in. With patience, consistency, and plenty of companionship, he has all the makings of an incredibly loyal and fun companion.

If you’re looking for a smart, expressive dog who will keep you on your toes, Ollie might be your guy.
