Boi

At 8 years old, Boi is everything many people love about Samoyeds: friendly, affectionate, easygoing, and happiest when he’s close to his people.

Boi is a sweet, outgoing boy who loves attention and never turns down an opportunity for pets and affection. He has plenty of energy when it’s time for fun, but he’s equally content relaxing nearby and simply being part of whatever his family is doing. His owners describe him as “the perfect Sammy”—a happy, loving companion who enjoys both adventure and quiet time at home.

He is well-mannered in the house, house-trained, and has experience living comfortably both indoors and in a fenced yard. Boi walks on leash, rides well in the car, is comfortable with grooming and veterinary visits, and has worked with a professional trainer to improve his leash manners. He’s intelligent, eager to please, and responsive to commands.

Boi gets along well with other dogs, small dogs, cats, and children. He grew up around kittens and currently lives with chickens, which he enjoys chasing, but he will leave them alone when told. While he loves kids, his size and enthusiasm can sometimes get the better of him. He doesn’t always realize how big and strong he is and may accidentally knock over smaller children while playing or moving through the house.

Because of this, Boi’s family feels he would be happiest in a home without very young children. They envision him thriving with an older family, a couple, or an individual who wants a loyal companion by their side throughout the day. A home with room to roam and plenty of hands available for petting would be ideal.

Boi is also refreshingly quiet for a Samoyed. Rather than being a big talker, he’s more interested in spending time with his people, soaking up affection, and enjoying life’s simple pleasures.
