Nika is an opinionated, lovable, ex show dog. More about Nika from her current home:

She’s very social and is very popular with my clients and the shops in the neighborhood. Random people stop to greet her. It’s a joy to see people’s faces light up from yards away when they see her coming. Especially as an ex showgirl she is easy to train and she’s a good girl with an appetite for treats. Very food motivated. She loves her walks especially her morning walk. We walk 2-3 miles per day.

She enjoys naps in the garden. And her 2 fave places to sleep are in the bathroom on the cold tiled floor and in the kitchen up against the stainless steel appliances. She’s is very loving and lovable. She loves morning cuddles from you but isn’t a cuddle in the bed girl. She enjoys a lot of attention from people.

Watch out squeaky toys she’ll trash you in under 5mins. She needs a lot of mental stimulation so puzzles and sniff toys and lick toys are a must. She doesn’t get left home often but she gets sassy when she does and indulges in some mischief. Keep the toilet paper and mail out of reach and you should be fine. She is not afraid to sulk and grumble and flounce herself to the ground when scolded. It’s kinda comical. But with treats all will be forgiven.

Nika is a charmer — when you bring up Nika to anyone who’s met her, the word “sweet” is bound to come up to describe her — but she will require significant care and investment and a forever home with the resources to provide it. She has a larynx condition that can lead to occasional aspiration and infection, and requires a daily medication regimen to manage it. Throughout, she remains a bright, engaged and energetic dog, just one with an occasional cough who will need more ongoing care than a typical dog would require.

For the right forever home, however, the rewards will be sweet, as the “Nika show” continues to light up the faces of her many fans.
